Stories That Feed Families, Educate Children, and Give Women a Voice
The Women Like Me Kenya Book Collection was created to give 26 women in Kenya the opportunity to share their stories, publish their voices, and receive direct financial support from their book sales.
These women are mothers, widows, caregivers, and sole supporters of their families. Many live in extreme poverty. Some live in small huts. Many struggle to afford basic daily needs such as food, school fees, shoes, socks, and simple household supplies like dish soap.
For many of these women, sending their children to school is not just about education. It requires money for school fees, uniforms, shoes, and socks. Without these things, their children may not be able to attend.
Women Like Me covers the full cost of producing these books.
That means every penny earned from the sale of these books goes directly to the 26 women in Kenya to support their families, children, and daily needs.
Twice a month, Women Like Me provides lunch for the 26 women in Kenya when they come together for their group meetings. These gatherings are a time of inspiration, encouragement, prayer, sharing, and connection. The meal helps nourish their bodies, while the group helps nourish their hearts.

At Women Like Me, we believe every woman’s story matters, no matter where she lives, how much money she has, or what circumstances she was born into.
These 26 women have trusted us with their words, their lives, and their hopes. We are honored to publish their books and ensure the proceeds go directly back to them. This is not charity from a distance. This is women standing beside women. When one woman rises, she reaches back for another.
