Brenda-Lee Huot-Hunter - Founder of The Legacy Mission

Women Like Me is honored to recognize Brenda-Lee Huot-Hunter as our Featured Supporter.

Brenda-Lee does not simply talk about compassion, service, and legacy; she lives them.

After raising two children of her own, Brenda-Lee opened her home to nearly two dozen foster children and later became an adoptive mother. Her commitment to families continued through her work as a Parent Peer Supporter, Family Advocate, Family Visitation Facilitator, and End-of-Life Doula.

Her mission became deeply personal when her daughter lost her birth father to an overdose. Out of that grief came a fierce determination to help other families affected by the drug crisis and loss.

Brenda-Lee founded The Legacy Mission to honor lives lost to the drug crisis, preserve their stories, support the families left behind, and transform grief into meaningful change.

Her values align beautifully with the heart of Women Like Me: every life matters, every story deserves to be heard, and even our deepest pain can become a pathway of service to others.

We are deeply grateful to Brenda-Lee for standing beside Women Like Me and supporting our work to help women share their stories, strengthen their voices, and create legacies of their own.
